MY HISTORY
I have been piping since 1985. I began with lessons from Fraser Sime (Stonewall, Manitoba) who at the time played with the Stirling Centennial Pipe Band - a grade 1 band. He taught me each Wednesday for 2 years on the practice chanter and then convinced me to go to a music camp at the International Peace Gardens in the summer of 1987.
At the Peace Gardens I met Tommy Thompson (formerly of Shotts & Dykehead - Scotland / Centennial PB) and Bill McLeod (formerly played with Queens Own Cameron Highlanders / Stirling PB) who later invited me to come and play with their pipe band in Winnipeg. With that invite, I started playing with the Stirling Centennial PB.
